Don't worry, this won't be a long review! I have been looking forward to the ST movie for a long time now -- and have heard nothing but good things from early reviews so far... Well, I was pleased, but not amazed. The action was great (more than any other Trek flick I believe) and the casting was amazing (best casting since Spider Man). However, they truly needed to add 10-20 minutes to the movie to help develop the characters and fill in plot gaps. What do I mean? Well, as an example (without giving away any of the movie), when you watch it, ask yourself the question about how Scotty enters the situation... 'nuff said.
Anyway, visuals were fantastic and, no doubt, the franchise has now been kick-started -- should be worth at least 4 more movies, which is great for both long and short-time Trekkies!
Overall: 7 out of 10
