Star Trek Movie Review

Don't worry, this won't be a long review! I have been looking forward to the ST movie for a long time now -- and have heard nothing but good things from early reviews so far... Well, I was pleased, but not amazed. The action was great (more than any other Trek flick I believe) and the casting was amazing (best casting since Spider Man). However, they truly needed to add 10-20 minutes to the movie to help develop the characters and fill in plot gaps. What do I mean? Well, as an example (without giving away any of the movie), when you watch it, ask yourself the question about how Scotty enters the situation... 'nuff said.

Anyway, visuals were fantastic and, no doubt, the franchise has now been kick-started -- should be worth at least 4 more movies, which is great for both long and short-time Trekkies!

Overall: 7 out of 10

DC Universe Infinite Heroes

Mattel continues to roll out some really cool figures in their 3.75" DC Universe Inifinite Heroes line-up... I must say some of the character choices I don't get (holy obscure, Batman!), but many are very cool... Paint jobs are decent but can be spotty. 2009 Toy Fair - Very Cool!

Well, we just got back from the 2009 Toy Fair in NYC... it was an interesting show -- Sunday was very crowded (more than last year), but the other days a bit slower... We had a very successful show, since we set-up new relationships with several key manufacturers (more to come in the next few weeks)... We were most impressed by the upcoming movie tie-in toys, such as Star Trek, Wolverine and GI Joe...

2009 Charity of Choice!
